Henderson 2011 QH x Pony Grulla Gelding 13.2 estimated FEE: $1500 TRAINING: This horse is currently rehabbing.  Henderson is the sweetest pony. He loves attention and is very calm, cool, and collected. He was previously "broke to ride" but seems to have a lot to learn. He doesn't yield to physical pressure and has almost no knowledge of personal space. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and has a good mind. Not only is Henderson the first to greet you in the pasture, he will walk right up to you as soon as he sees you. This guy LOVES his people. He was working with a trainer has been focusing on getting Henderson in good physical health and building strength as he was very underweight when he came into the rescue. She worked with him on groundwork He stood to be saddled up nicely and will walk with a saddle on a lunge line but when asked to trot to the left he bucks. He has had a full body work session and a saddle fitting. They are trying to figure out what has caused this behavior and help him work through it. Horses typically adopted UTD on vaccines, dental floats, farrier care and all vet needs. A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons.
