Fury

URRENT RIDER LEVEL: Confident Intermediate Fury is a 2008 Tennessee Walking Horse Mare who stands at 15.1 hands tall and weighs 940lbs. Fury came to us in fall of 2023 emaciated and fearful. She has sense gained over 200 lbs and she continues to trust us more each day. Fury loves scratches and treats. She holds her own in a mixed heard of mares and geldings. Fury can be hard to catch in a big field but she does extremely well when she's in a routine of being stalled at night. She will stand tied to be groomed but moves when saddling. Fury is a difficult saddle fit. She is built downhill, has a wide back and almost no withers. Fury is extremely smart and treat motivated. Fury knows how to stand quietly at the mounting block but she will test you to see if you'll make her. Under saddle, Fury can be is easy to get going, stop and turn but she regresses when she isn't worked consistently. She prefers a loose rein and will shake her head with too much pressure and contact. Fury has not been trail tested yet, but we think she could make a nice trail partner with more work. Fury would be best matched with a confident intermediate rider who will be consistent with her.
