My Story

Training: This horse is part of a special training event called the Appalachian Trainer Face Off. You can learn about it on Facebook and on our website. Horses in this training event are adoptable following 100+ days of training in August. Sweet and curious Frasier was rescued by Heart of Phoenix. He is competing in the Platinum division were he is already under saddle and getting another 100+ days of professional training before competition and adoption. Frasier is going to be AMAZING! Please check back to watch his progress! In the past few weeks his trainer has gotten to know Frasier and he is so awesome! While very expressive, he is very brave and wants to be a work hard to please you. What they have done: Walk, trot, and canter from voice and leg cues Started working on consistent collection in the trot Trot poles, canter poles and cross rails Walk, trot, and canter on trail rides Stands tied…. Not so patiently Halters/bridles easy Shows attitude in saddling and mounting Will let you know when he is uninterested in a challenge, but will try again if you ask Great for trailer loading Perfect for fly spray, baths, and grooming Does well in any turnout He has always come to greet me in the field and loves cuddles! Overall, Frasier is an extremely sweet, smart horse. Adoption fees may be outdated, as a horse may have moved into training, so check us on most current fee. Horses typically adopted UTD on vaccines, dental floats, farrier care and all vet needs. Horse Locations Typically in Appalachia, but please inquire about a horse’s specific location when you apply! We are looking to adopt to safe homes. A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons. Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters. Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no fail process for finding the right match.
