CURRENT RIDER LEVEL: Beginner (Light riders only) Flicka is a 2009 Paint mare who stands at 14.3 hands tall and weighs 1,000lbs. Flicka is an outgoing mare and gets along well with the mares and geldings she is turned out with. Flicka, will get upset when her friends leave the pasture, she will call for them and pace the fence. When she is taken out without her friends, she is a little pushy but overall isn't difficult to handle. Flicka is sound for a light rider. She is over at the knees and low in the fetlocks on both front legs. She is on no maintenance and shows little to no sign of discomfort. Flicka runs around the pasture, holds her own, and plays with the other horses. She does take a rider and can walk, trot and canter under saddle. Flicka likes to go when asked, but she can be easily stopped. She direct reins, turns, and backs with no issues. Although Flicka is currently comfortable, the issues she has will likely cause her discomfort in the future. Flicka needs a home that will be respectful of her limitations. She would be best matched with a family looking for a companion horse that the kids can get on and ride.
