Fern, 10 yo, 14.2h, is a black mare with a beautiful white star and snip on her face and four white socks. She is trying very hard to adapt to her new life at the rescue. We got her out of a feedlot just before the ship date. She has been through some very difficult times as she is terrified of people. We are working very gently, slowly and peacefully to help her see the goodness in life and hopefully start to enjoy new friends and good care. We expect this to take some time. Certainly there is a wonderful horse under all the protective armor.
