CURRENT RIDER LEVEL: Beginner Aurora is a 2006 second generation Mustang mare who stands at 13 hands tall and weighs 828lbs. Aurora came in with 3 other older, untrained mustangs who have had very little handling. Aurora has learned to trust people and she enjoys affection and attention now too. Aurora is an easy keeper, and she gets along well with the other mares and geldings she's turned out with. Aurora prefers to be approached with treats in the pasture when being caught. She will stand calmly to be groomed, tacked and mounted from a block or the ground. She has been ridden western, english and bareback. She has a smooth trot and a speedy canter thats equally as smooth. She genuinely likes to work and really enjoys going over jumps! Aurora can be strong headed and will occasionally brace against pressure when asking to stop or turn. The tendency to brace is getting better the more we work with her. Aurora has been on the trail and is more comfortable leading the pack. Aurora is a wonderful mare with a lot of potential, she is sound, hardy and stocky. Aurora would be best matched with a confident beginner rider who can offer her consistency and more positive life experiences.
