Meet Tesla

Tesla is a four-year-old black and tan Doberman with nicely cropped ears and a docked tail. She was dumped by her owner at a high-kill shelter—no reason given. She’s medium-sized for a female Dobie and well put-together. Tesla has a lot going for her: she’s good with people, very dog-social, very pretty, crate-trained and may be housetrained. She's also a character with a sense of humor! Unfortunately, she appears to have the flank-sucking gene although the problem is not bad enough that she damages her coat. The licking occurs when she is anxious or very bored: it lessens significantly as her circumstances improve, so we think a secure, yet stimulating environment is what Tesla needs and deserves. No cats. Tesla is camera-shy; we had to sneak these photos.
