Oscar Terrier & Portuguese Water Dog Mix Clarksville, VA

Oscar is an absolutely adorable puppy in every way....the only way to describe him is a bundle of pure sweetness. He is one of three siblings who came in with his mother. The mother and babies were all brought to the shelter as strays and were in poor condition, almost bald with mange and abandoned at a dumpster. Mother nurtured her babies while vets, and everyone at the shelter helped them to recover. Now all are doing very well, but still at the homeless shelter waiting for homes. Oscar looks different from his siblings because of his beautiful black and whitish gray long fur. He has unusual markings and pretty paws and is better looking in person than in his photos. He has a curly top on his head that just adds to his delightful personality. Oscar is very well-behaved for his age, but never misses the chance to play outside with the other dogs. He loves cats and lets them rub against him and lay with him. He is several months old but under 1 year as of April 2009 and is medium sized. His mother is about 35 pounds. Poor Oscar, his siblings and mom, Mable, have been at the shelter for many months now. They were tiny puppies when they were brought in. We hope someone will rescue them from a life behind bars. Oscar had a rough start in life. He deserves to grow up healthy and happy in a real home of his own.
