Ace German Shepherd Dog Mix Lexington, SC

Ace is a handsome little german shepherd mix (despite the fact that he's only about 37 lbs and full grown). He is approximately 2-3 years old and a sweetheart.
He is very friendly and outgoing and would fit right in with just about any family.
He shows interest in other dogs but has some dominant characteristics with out being an "alpha male." He would probably do best in a home either without other dogs or with very submissive ones. He is wonderful with kids of all ages and does not dig under or jump over fences. He came to the Animal Protection League after being thrown from a moving vehicle and gets very nervous climbing into a car. He
needs to be coaxed and usually physically lifted into the car. But can you blame him? Despite that, he loves riding in the car and has good car manners once he's in the car. Though we have not tested him, we suspect he would do ok with cats.
