My Story

ADOPTED! - ZuZu's adoption fee is $275. She is about ten months old and is a sweet, happy, cuddly little dog who makes everyone smile! She has been spayed, heartworm tested, microchipped, immunized, and wormed. ZuZu is a real people lover, so we would like her to be adopted by a retired person or someone who works out of their home. (That way, ZuZu won't have to be a latchkey dog.) Because of her tiny size (she only weighs about 8 lbs.) she is not available for adoption to families with young children, as we worry she would be tripped over, stepped on, or inadvertently injured. ZuZu loves to play with other dogs, so her adopter MUST have another young to middle-age small, playful dog for her to play with (and, preferably, a fenced yard). Yes.....we're being pretty fussy, aren't we? (On the other hand, you'll know you're probably "the one" if you meet all our criteria.) Just as most potential adopters (like you) are looking for a specific type/age/size/breed of dog to adopt, we--too--are looking for just the right match for ZuZu! If your situation matches what we are looking for, please write to us to tell us about yourself, your lifestyle, your schedule, etc. Then, if we feel ZuZu would be a good fit for you, we will send you an adoption application. Our e-mail address is: [email protected]
NOTE: In spite of our best guess regarding her breed, we cannot guarantee that ANY dog is "non-allergenic". Also, we can't promise that our dogs won't shed (ALL dogs shed!) and we won't promise that even the most perfectly housebroken dog won't have an occasional accident in the house. So--with all due respect--if you are overly concerned about dog hair, dog dander, or an occasional puddle, perhaps you should give some thought to whether or not you ready to adopt a real, live dog.
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" under the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.Thanks so much for your interest in adopting a rescue dog!
