Zuma here! Zuma is a name of Native American origin and means "abundance." And abundance is what I will bring into your life; abundance of joy and happiness, of wiggles and kisses. I was found as a stray here in DC, but let me tell you, I did not let this get me down. I did not waste one fraction of a second (which is to say "no time") to make friends with the nice officer who picked me up. I just knew she'd be the start to a better life. Here at the shelter I have continued to charm everyone and conquer hearts. Now I am ready to conquer yours and bring abundance to you -- hoping you'll have an abundance of love and treats for me. And a volunteer who recently spent time with me had this to share: Zuma is super sweet! She is petite and has a puppy demeanor about her. She is easy overall - easy to leash and walk. She enjoyed sniffing around the yard and she had fun playing with a ball. She would pause when I'd pet her and enjoy the affection, but then go back to sniffing around or playing with the ball.
