Zorro

Sweet Zorro was surrendered by an owner that was having to move and could not take his pet with him. We see this more and more often in today's economy. Many pet owners find themselves forced to move, whether it be financial conditions, employment status, or an unplanned housing change. We encourage pet owners to do their best to try and work things out so that they can keep a pet with them; after all, when we take on the responsibility of pet ownership, we must plan for the difficult times as well as the good.

It is hard to know who it is hardest on, the pet owner or the pet. One is upset to be in a situation that makes such a decision necessary, while the other feels abandoned; undoubtedly they both will experience loneliness. All we can do is try to help the pet owner move on and then do our best to find the newly homless pet a new home. We will work to find a home complete with a loving family that is hopefully not going to experience the same hardships. There are no guarantees in life . . . but we will do our best to find Zorro a new forever home! He deserves our best!

Adoption Fee: $85 which includes microchipping, spay/neuter, heartworm test, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, age appropriate vaccinations, worming. Cash or check only -- we do not take debit or credit cards. Staff and volunteers socialize and work with the dogs on a daily basis. Most are leash trained and kennel trained upon adoption.
