Hello world! I'd like to introduce myself if I may. My name is Zeus. Sadly, my former owner could no longer take care of me due to their own health issues and brought me to the shelter on 7/27. My former owner tried really hard to take care of me and I know they did so I am forever grateful to them. Its a sad situation and I'm sad because I don't want to spend my golden years in a loud, overcrowded shelter. I would really like to spend the rest of my years with you in a warm, welcoming home filled with nothing but love. and kindness. A comfy, warm bed would be wonderful! Can you help me make my wish come true soon? I really hope so! The volunteers describe me as gentle and calm and they are making me feel so welcomed, wanted and so loved. I still have a lot of gas in my tank to keep up with you in my golden years. I consider myself a very handsome young man with a lot of love to give. I am a very intelligent guy too because I can sit when asked. Spend time with me and get to know my old soul. Oh, I am 11 years old and I also weigh 122lbs and every pound is nothing but pure love!! I am a chunky guy so I wouldn't mind losing a few pounds. Some healthy meals would be awesome for me to enjoy! I am good with dogs and kids. Which is a plus in my senior pup book! But I am not a big fan of the feline world. Sorry cats! No offense, you're just not my type! If you have got a loving heart to make time for me in your world, then I am your forever guy and I will be waiting for you. Just give me a chance and be patient with me. I would like to be apart of a family again and be wanted and loved and included in everything. I'm still a young pup at heart and a true love bug. Come see me please!! While I can make friends with other pups and amazing volunteers, I would love nothing more than to wake up with a family who will let me have an amazing life with the few years I have left with them and not in a shelter all alone. Please help me! Zeus is current on vaccines, neutered and micro chipped. Zeus will be tested for heart worms upon his adoption. Come visit him and allow him to live the rest of his golden life happily. He won't let you down. Zeus will be waiting for his guardian angel in Run 832 and his ID is 660640. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
