Meet Zara! This beautiful girl is looking for a new forever home! Zara is apart of a hoarding case we recently took on where there were about 30 Husky mixes living in one home in Holland, Michigan. Unfortunately the owner passed away, and prior to his passing he suffered from some physical and mental health issues that made it difficult for him to pick up after so many dogs and he struggled to give them away when they were puppies as he didn’t want to separate the moms from their babies. Zara’s former owner truly loved all of the dogs in his care, and they all loved him. These pups are not your typical “Hoarding” case dogs as they are all very sweet, well mannered and well behaved, they are crate trained, they know some basic commands, and they understand the concept of potty training! (However we never guarantee that a pet will not have accidents in a new home) Zara and her sister Lola are two peas in a pod, and while they absolutely can be separated into their own homes, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind staying together if that was ever an option! (There is a discount if you adopt two!) Zara is fixed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on preventatives! She is good with other dogs, doesn’t seem to mind the presence of cats, and is good with kids (although we recommend a home with older kids as she can be alittle shy of commotion) We are also recommending a fully fenced in yard for Zara due to her skittishness, however a family that plans to strictly keep her on a leash when outside may be a good fit too!
