My Story

Meet a big, sweet boy.
At about 1 year old and already 75 lbs, WE BELIEVE TO BE A ROMAN ROTTIE/LAB MIX Captain is on his way to being a big boy, but his gentleness and perfect house manners make him fit well into a home and busy life.   Captain is a wonderful companion and will follow you through your day, his big head occasionally pressing against your leg to reassure you that he is there, but he never gets in the way.  Captain is great with children of all ages, too,  holding still and enjoying the clinging hugs and kisses that come his way.  He takes food gently from your hand and has no food aggression towards people.  Other dogs are questionable -- he sure doesn't want THEM near his food dish, and he does love to chase the cats so they're probably a no-no as well, but as an only dog or one who has been gently introduced to a female playmate, Captain would be a great addition.  Captain is neutered, has all of his shots and is microchipped, so he's aready to find his own family.  As for his breed -- it has been suggested many times that he is a rotti and I know he's too big for a lab.  (in the picture, the windown he is looking through is 4 feet off the ground).  His tail is docked, and his nose is shorter and I'm inclined to agree with the rottie, at least as a mix.  I did find another dog who resembled him immensly (if you add more weight) -- a black Roman Rottie.  Very, very similar, but who knows?  I do know he's a great dog and a great companion and he's waiting to meet that perfect person.  Please email or call 797-3632 to meet our Captain.
