Hey! I'm Yukon! Do you have a treat for me? How about a toy? Not now? Great! I'm happy to hang out and amuse myself, knowing we'll have fun later. I'm a 9 year old purebred Golden Retriever, but nobody guesses my age when they meet me. I can be very active if the situation calls for it but I calm down so much better than young whippersnappers. I am housetrained and great with other dogs. How did a treasure like me end up in rescue? I was the beloved companion of an elderly woman whose health deteriorated and she couldn't care for me any more. I am having such a good time in foster care but I hope I find my permanent home very soon. I'm a little too interested in cats to probably have one as my housemate but I love people of all ages. I know lots of commands, too!

We require an application, phone interview, and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed.
