My Story

This sweet 8 yr. old gentleman is hoping to find his forever home with a family who are looking for lots of kisses and cuddle time, mixed in with some ball playing and walks! Yukon found himself in a shelter as a stray, and was being overlooked by potential adopters due to some hair loss. So he came into the rescue, and saw a specialist, who helped figure out what was going on, and get him on the road to looking and feeling much better! Yukon loves everyone he meets and will greet you with the typical Lab’s wagging tail. He is crate trained, but good with free roam when his peeps are gone. He loves to play fetch, and finds birds to be fascinating creatures – he will happily chase them with no hope of ever catching them! Yukon has not been around cats but is a bit unsure of other dogs, so he’d prefer to be king of the castle. Despite his rough beginnings, he loves kids and adults alike and will happily share his love anytime. Lap dog Yukon is hoping you can find a spot in your heart and on the couch for him! PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue. (Note: Sometimes a foster home falls in love and adopts their foster dog so the dog doesn’t make it to “Available Now”). If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Website, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process. If you need additional information about the adoption process or whether you are in our coverage area, please send an e-mail to our Rescue at [email protected]. Even if you are not ready to adopt, you can still help us help our Labs! Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization funded entirely by donations. Donations are always needed to help with veterinary costs, transportation, and supplies for our dogs. For information on donating to BLRR please click brooklinelabrescue.org/get-involved/donate/.
