Yuji (LONGEST RESIDENT)
Breed
American Staffordshire Terrier, Labrador Retriever
Yuji is a big old goofball who loves rolling around on a nice grassy lawn. He loves everyone he meets and is always ready for adventure. Yuji loves to run around with zoomies in his yard before retiring back to the couch for a nice nap.

Yuji was unfortunately hit by a car in Manteca and when his owners were contacted to let them know their family dog was injured and in the shelter, they chose to surrender him over the phone instead of taking him home. Since the shelter has no veterinary resources, he had to find rescue right away or be euthanized. Better World Rescue took this sweet boy in and we are so happy that we did. He is great in the car, sweet with kids, and friendly with other dogs after slow introductions. He has now recovered fully from his injuries and has a clean bill of health for adoption.
Yuji is house-trained, crate-trained and knows some basic commands. He is recommended to be fed separately in his crate but is otherwise good with other dogs. He is not recommended to live with cats as he has moderate prey drive. He is working on walking a bit more calmly on leash, but seeing this happy boy prance around is actually pretty cute.
Yuji is microchipped, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Give this sweet boy his forever home today!
