My Story

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/6036 * Female * 8 years old * 47 lbs * Can be Energetic, would like to take naps and watch TV with you When it's time to exercise, playing ball is the activity of choice in a fenced yard, the higher the better * Knows some obedience * Can walk on on loose leash; sniffing to discover new smells rather than long walks are just fine with her * Goes in crate on command * Potty trained (perk! will go in bad weather) * She is Cautious with strangers and needs slow introductions, once she gets to know them in familiar surroundings, she is ready for belly rubs * Needs an experienced dog handler * Muzzle trained, wears muzzle during vetting for prevention * Prefer to be the only dog Rules and boundaries help her to feel comfortable. Yoyoma has been in foster care for awhile, because she is waiting for the right family, she wants to be your one and only loyal companion. Click here to see her in action! Played with the fosters larger dogs but prefers to be the only dog in your family. The foster's grandchildren have played ball with her and she likes how they tell her to sit first then to retrieve. Check out my featured adoption video here. It's really good, isn't it? I was a good mom. Click here, here, here and here to see videos of me having some fun with toys. I can entertain myself. And guess what, I am SO special that I am eligible for an extended trial adoption. You check me out and I check you out. If that all sound great to you, let's meet. Please apply to adopt me today. To adopt fill out the simple online application at https://ophrescue.org Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
