Rescue Story
Youngsil's story is one of remarkable resilience and hope. Born in a bustling shelter with over 1,600 dogs, Youngsil waited patiently for four long years before his turn to be rescued finally arrived. Now this brave soul is ready to embark on a new journey, eager to learn the joys of a normal doggy life, and discover the love of a forever home.
About Him
Can you imagine being born in a prison and living there for 20 years? That was Youngsil’s life. He endured rough treatment when he needed care the most—never receiving treats, toys, or the freedom to walk and run. He was never brushed or washed, a simple luxury he missed out on in his shelter days. It's not fair because Youngsil did nothing wrong.
Thankfully, Youngsil is a quick learner. He’s catching up on everything he missed out on. He’s learned to enjoy car rides (you might have to scoop him up into the car), and his walking manners are great. While he's still unsure around other dogs on walks, with growing confidence, he might soon want to sniff and play with them. Initially, he would panic when seeing his harness and leash, but now he calmly goes to his safe zone and sits, waiting for you. This panic is getting shorter as his trust grows.
Youngsil is still learning about baths, nail clipping, and being brushed, but he’s making progress every day. He's started enjoying his newfound freedom, doing zoomies in the backyard and trying to play with other dogs. He’s discovered the excitement of pet stores and all the intriguing smells they hold.
Once Youngsil trusts you, he will show his tummy, but it will take some time. His adopter will need to work with him to teach him that the world is safe and humans can be trusted, but it is so worth it. Youngsil is a very happy and intelligent boy, greeting you with excited barks. When you leave home, he might howl with his beautiful voice, though he stops after a couple of times. He can be left alone for up to 8 hours and has lived peacefully with cats.
We believe Youngsil would thrive with a backyard where he can run freely. Are you ready to give this resilient and hopeful boy the loving home he deserves?
