My Story

Yoshi is the most adorable little chihuahua mix you have ever seen. He has been in his foster home for several weeks and has learned so much about how to be the best fur baby ever. He is almost pee-pee pad-trained, and kennel-trained, and he loves to play fetch. Yoshi's story is very sad, similar to many others in Gadsden, Alabama. Due to the lack of laws or enforced regulations on spaying/neutering, there is an overpopulation of unwanted puppies. Yoshi was left all alone to survive as a 5-week-old puppy. Fortunately, he was found by good samaritans; otherwise, he might not have survived. Although there are county shelters funded by tax dollars, they are refusing to take in stray or unwanted animals. This situation cannot continue. While there are some local rescues, they are also full and unable to accommodate more animals. Yoshi was taken in by a rescue and placed in a foster home until a furever home could be found. Unfortunately, the rescue was so full and disorganized that they never returned any calls or messages from the foster. As a result, the foster home has become the new caretaker. Dog Love Foundation, Inc. cannot take in homeless animals but works with fosters or families looking to rehome dumped animals or animals that they can no longer keep due to unforeseen situations. Please help Yoshi find his furever home. His foster mom has loved him and prepared him for his next journey.
