Yondu

Meet Yondu! Yondu is a 3 year old mixed breed dog. Yondu was unfortunately surrendered to us after his owner passed away. Yondu often has a big goofy grin on his face, and loves playing with toys in the sunshine. He has big beautiful ears that flop in the wind as he runs! Yondu was nervous and shut down in the shelter due to his unexpected arrival. His foster has been helping him rediscover just how fun and beautiful life can be! Yondu will need training in his future adoptive home to best set him up for success. Our adoption counselors will be happy to go over training and decompression needs for your home. He is crate trained, and housebroken. He is food motivated, and eager to please his human companions. We recommend any potential adopters be versed with canine body language and general training. Yondu has lived with dogs and has done well but he can be dog selective. Our adoption counselors will assist in finding you and Yondu the best potential dog match. Yondu would do best in a home without cats. Yondu has done well meeting children when out and about, and would be happiest with older children/teenagers that are respectful of his boundaries. We will go over any and all future medical needs for Yondu during an adoption appointment. Yondu is neutered, has received core vaccinations (Bordetella, Canine Distemper, Rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. **Yondu is not currently being housed at the shelter.
