Yogi is a handsome 8 month German Shepherd who weighs approximately 40 pounds. Yogi came into us from the Harlingen shelter with what we thought were new leg injuries from being hit by a car. After xrays it was determined his broken front and back leg were actually old injuries that had completely healed unfixed by his previous owners. The pain he must have been in as a young pup is heartbreaking. We did an FHO to fix his back hip, but his front leg has a definite 90 degree angle. He is not painful at all and can run and play still. The surgeons told us to amputate his front leg but he actually uses it so we said no.
Yogi's adoption fee has already been donated by one of our Shepherd loving adopters. So if you are wanting to give this sweet guy a home he is available!
Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.)
You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization.
His adoption fee is $0. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal Plus, IDEXX SNAP 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch microchip, and leash and collar.
Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.
Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories.
