My Story

Meet Yeti. This handsome gentleman ended up on the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in Houston. One of our volunteers was volunteering that day and when she met him she instantly fell in love and we knew we had to help him. Thanks to an amazing foster stepping up we were able to save him minutes before his deadline. Yeti is extremely chill. In the shelter he was listed as 1yr old but we think he is closer to 4. He is a big guy 80+ pounds plus fluff but he is a gentle cuddly giant. True to to his breed he is a guardian of his family and does get protective when unknown visitors approach the house; especially males, but once he has the opportunity to be introduced properly he is fine. He rides perfectly in a car, walks slowly on leash without pulling, is completely potty and crate trained. He likes all dogs and is very nonchalant about them. Even when he meets young high energy dogs that jump all over him he always maintains his cool. He would do well in many homes as he doesn't need a ton of activity just someone to love him, a comfy bed, and treats. Yeti is such a great dude and we can't wait to find his perfect forever family. Yeti is being fostered in Houston, Texas but available for transport to many places across the country.
