Yena

Miss Yena is a gorgeous and sassy almost 3 year old mixed breed dog. Her coloring reminded us of a hyena, hence her name, although with her luscious plump body, we maybe should have named her hippo! Yena originally came to us as a stray, and we don't know what her previous life was like. While she has acclimated to shelter life, she isn't happy here. She gets along with most other dogs, and enjoys her play group time, but often will decide to wander off on her own. Yena doesn't like it when other dogs jump on her or get in her face relentlessly, and is pretty vocal when she plays. She would adore being the only dog in the home, but we think she would be fine with another laid back pup that would play with her then let her have her own time. She likes having her belly rubbed, but will tell you when she is done. Yena has been with us almost a year, and deserves a home with a yard to run free in. She keeps her kennel clean and only potty's in the yard, and walks great on a leash. We would recommend that she goes to a home with teenage or old children as she does like to have her personal space and doesn't like to be grabbed or pulled on. We are not sure how she would be with cats, but is pretty excitable when she sees the shelter cat running around. She is approaching her year mark being at the shelter, and we would love to see her get a home soon. Yes she has her quirks, but we know someone is out their with their own quirks that she will be perfect for! She is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and microchipped.
