KNOWN DISLIKES: none known! Meet Yellow! Breed: Black Mouth Cur/Yellow Lab Mix Weight: Approximately 50 lbs Yellow is a remarkable dog with a heart of gold. House trained and a perfect sleeping companion through the night, he's already mastered the basics of being a great canine companion. He interacts well with other dogs and seems to have no interest in bothering our feline friends. He loves his walks and is very friendly when meeting other dogs along the way! He seems to be the kind of dog everyone looks for -- good energy outside, loves running and playing with canine companions, and also very calm inside. Yellow's foster mom says: "This dog is a companion dog- loves walks and sitting next to you! I love this dog!!! He is remarkable- wish my husband was more on board!!!!" While Yellow may not be much of a toy enthusiast, his love language is evident in his gentle demeanor and affectionate nature. He may not have learned how to play with toys, but he excels at being a loyal and loving companion. However, Yellow's past experiences seem to have left him with some emotional scars. He's somewhat shy and reserved at first, sometimes taking a few minutes to warm up to new people. It's evident that someone may have been harsh with him in the past, leaving him cautious. :-( But who can blame him, sometimes it pays to be a little cautious with new people, instead of jumping all over them! Despite his initial hesitancy, Yellow is capable of forming deep bonds with those who show him patience and understanding. He'll gladly sit with you for hours, soaking up affection and pets. He loves snuggling in bed with his people.
