Meet this handsome fella, Yam! He's a 4 year old Standard Poodle Mix that's searching for a patient and quiet family to come home with. Yam's a very handsome fella, but will need some extra time as he came to the Humane Society under socialized. He's made a lot of progress, but still has some obstacles to overcome. He's friendly, playful, and goofy once he gets comfortable around you. He'll even give you a submissive smile when he's excited. Yam LOVES to play with his toys- any toy will make him very happy. Yam enjoys getting his belly rubbed and loves scritches behind his ears. He would do best in a home with older children, as he still gets easily startled by loud sounds and sudden movements. He's working on gaining confidence when walking on a leash and learning the shelters potty routine. He's neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped. Yam is at the Benbrook Waggin' Tails Adoption Center- open daily from 12-6 p.m.
