COURTESY LISTING IN THE BIRMINGHAM, AL AREA. 2-year-old Yabo is one of the sweetest, easy to get along with dogs we've met. He's good with other dogs and submissive to any sign of aggression from others. He mostly ignores our cats. He loves everyone he meets - though we haven't had an opportunity to test him with very small kiddos just yet. He's been great with everyone 8 yrs and up. He's super food-motivated, so relatively easy to train. He's crate-trained and house-trained. While he would be an fun active pet dog for someone, he would also enjoy some fun sport stuff. He's been introduced to rats (barn hunt), loves to swim (has no interest in leaving the dock yet), enjoys pulling (weight pull) and could have a fun time with scent work. He's still learning basic obedience. He's pretty good in the house but needs commitment from his new owner to teach him what is desired. Unfortunately, Yabo has hip dysplasia. We will provide x-rays to his new owners. He is mostly asymptomatic as long as he remains on his glucosamine supplements and gets regular exercise that targets maintaining hip muscles. In spite of this diagnosis, Yabo has no idea he should slow down and loves being active.
