Y_PLUS: Petey

Unfortunately Petey lost his home along with a Doberman which we also took into our rescue, when his owners had to move to an apartment and also have a high risk pregnancy. Petey is a 3 1/2 year old purebred Chihuahua and a sweet little guy. He is a bit shy at first but then wants nothing more than to be held once he gets to know you and feels comfortable. Petey has fallen right into the routine of eating breakfast & dinner with his foster friends and getting his doggie treats. He also goes right outside to potty with all of them. The previous owners stated he is housebroken but does still have accidents at times(he is getting better every day). His previous home also stated he did get along with children, but there are none in his foster home to confirm this, but from what I can see in him, he is sweet and loving with everyone. Due to his size, it would be better to have kids over 10 yrs old. Petey is crate trained, but does not need to be crated at all, he is very trusting at all times. At night time he finds one of the many dog beds to sleep on for the night and during the day, hangs out on he couch laying on several pillows, looking out the window. He has made himself right at home. He seems good with all his foster brothers and sisters (both large and small), even the cats. He has found his spot up on the couch to be held and petted, which he just loves. Petey is a very sweet and loving little boy and will make his future forever home very happy to have him become part of the family.
