Xiao Guai is an 11 years old female Corgi/Finnish Lapphund mix. She was adopted by one of our members now is living happily in Irvine, CA.
Xiao Guai was abandoned by her owner at this late age of 11 because her owner got divorced and neither one of the separated couple wanted to keep her. This couple do have space for her, just "don't want her anymore." The original owner easily let go 11 years of love and company Xiao Guai provided, and decided to give her away to the pound and let her die as almost no one would adopt a senior dog from the pound, especially in Taiwan!!
According to her originally owner, Xiao Guai was found as a stray with her litter mates in National Chengchi University when she was only 3 months old. It's hard to believe someone would abandon a dog at its senior year, but it truly happened.
Our member heard of her story and decided to take her in. Now she lives a very happy life in Southern California and started to enjoy her car rides even though she never had one in the past 11 years. She also had her 1st trip to the beach and goes to parks every weekend! Xiao guai now sleeps in her mom and dad's bed every night and sometimes goes to work with her mom! Xiao Guai's parents say Xiao Guai is a sweet and well behaved dog that they would dream to have one.
Every pet deserves a happy ending, and we hope no one would ever let go their pets because their owners are truly their whole world and only world. Xiao Guai is very lucky to have found a forever home even though she was once "let go." We hope every dogs in this world will find someone that would take care of them for their entire lives, and "letting go" would never become an option for the owners!!
