Hello, I'm Wylie, and I'm reaching out for one last chance to find a loving home. I've been at the shelter for 227 days, and despite my friendly and charismatic nature with all humans, I've yet to find a family of my own. I've been through a lot, but my spirit remains unbroken, and my heart is full of love for every person I meet. I'm two years old, weigh 45 pounds, and I'm in great health, aside from testing positive for heartworm disease – but don't worry, it's treatable and I already have pledges to cover the cost. I'm ready to recover in a cozy home. I'm looking for a special someone who understands that I need to be the only dog in the house. I promise to fill your life with joy and companionship in return. I love playing Tug-O-War, but what I love even more is cuddling up with you. I've been neutered and vaccinated, so I'm all set to start our life together. The shelter life has been tough on me, and I'm not the same dog I was when I first arrived. The constant barking and confinement have taken a toll on my mental health, and I find myself spinning in my kennel, longing for a friend. My voice has grown weak from calling out for someone to notice me, but I haven't given up hope. Time is running out for me, and if I don't find a hero by 8/9, I may not have a future. There is a volunteer willing to drive me up to nine hours away for the right home and we might be able to find other volunteers for the rest of the way! I have a great community supporting me.
