My Story

Thank you for visiting Wilma! By choosing to adopt a dog through C.A.R.E.S., you are not only giving a wonderful dog a forever home, but you are allowing us to rescue another dog on death row. You are also choosing to support a true no-kill rescue organization. Thank you!.

Isn’t she adorable! Wilma was rescued from Animal Control when her time was up. She is a little cutie, weighing about 35#. We guess her age to be about 18 months. She is a mixed breed, our guess is Labrador and springer because of her size and coloring.

Wilma is a very happy girl, who likes to play with other dogs. She likes attention from her human, as well.

She is quite interested in cats, we don’t think she’s ever been around one before. She won’t hurt them, but she will chase them, so any house with cats should be cats that like dogs.

Wilma appears to housetrained. She’s only been crated once and did fine.

Who’s going to be lucky enough to add Wilma to their family?

This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. If you'd like to have an application emailed to you, just email us. Thank you!
