Willow is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix that came from a shelter north of Austin, TX. She weighs about 60-65 lbs and is about 22.5 inches high at the shoulder.
Willow is a very sweet and gentle girl. She meets and greets other people and animals very well. I have not had her around small children yet, but I am sure she would do well.
She will need a home that will help her build self confidence. She is shy and seems to be scared of doing the wrong thing. She was probably mistreated in the past.
I have been lavishing her with praises and she is starting to build her confidence, but she still has a ways to go. She is very content to sit by your side and be petted and loved on.
A perfect home for Willow will have another dog for her to play with. It would also be ideal if she has a person who is home most of the time. She loves attention and the company of others whether its 2 or 4 legged.
She is very gentle with dogs that are smaller than her, unless they are the type of dog that gets in her face. That she will not tolerate.
She is also very gentle with my foster cats and kitten.
She will bark at new people in the house or yard and strange noises, so she does have a guarding instinct.
She is crate trained, house trained, spayed and current on vaccinations.
