My Story

ADOPTED - Hi, my name is Willow and I am a Chihuahua. I'm 5 years old. You might notice that I have a funny looking eye. Please don't be afraid of how I look because I'm really a sweet girl. I had a problem with my eye when I was living in the other place (the mill) and no one took me to the vet so my retina is damaged. I can't see out of it but I see really good with the my other eye and I manage quite well. I love to cuddle and you can carry me like a baby in your arms and tickle my belly too. Oh and I eat soft food because I only have 4 teeth......BUT don't think I can't eat a cookie like my friends can because I can!. It takes me longer but that's ok. I live with 2 cats and a kitten named Binkie; her and I curl up and sleep together. I also live with dogs and my special friend is Gracie and her and I sleep together too. I am a good girl and I'm good in the house. So if you are home all day and want a small dog to love and who just wants to be loved then that's ME! I don't want to go to a home with children because I'm so little but I do like children cause they hold me and kiss me and stuff. I don't really know how to play yet but since I feel good I like to run outside..

PLEASE NOTE AARF DOES NOT ADOPT OUT OF PROVINCE
Notes from AARF: Willow has been spayed and had her dental done and is ready to find her forever home. What would be best for Willow's forever home is one where someone is home i.e. works from home or is retired. She is a sweet little soul who just loves human companionship.

******************
Meet our sweet little Willow who is a puppy mill survivor. For 5 years she has lived in a confined space no bigger then 2 feet x 2 feet, being forced to breed, fighting to survive. Life has changed for Willow; she has a chance to know how life should be......full of love and kindness. Willow will be having her spay surgery and a full dental done shortly. She isn't quite ready for her forever home, but we are starting the process of taking applications to find Willow her forever home.

Please note due to Willow's small size and vulnerability no small children under the age of 10 years. The home we are seeking for Willow would be one where some one is home most of the time i.e. works from home or retired.

Please send us an email if you are interested in adopting Willow, and we will send you an adoption application.
