Arrival story: This beautiful dog was rescued from an overcrowded local animal shelter. He was brought in as a stray (!) and his owners never came to claim him, so now he is in our foster care program while he awaits a new loving home.

Approximate age & weight: Whiskey is 2 yrs old and 19lbs.

Personality: Whiskey wants nothing more than to be right at the side of his foster mom -- following her around the house wherever she goes. In fact, early this morning he found his way into the bredroom and snuggled up in bed just like he's lived there forever.

Whiskey appears to be housebroken, and knows "sit" and "lay" for a treat. He is crate trained also. He is currently living in foster care with a dog, and cats. He shows no interest in playing with the resident dog, but is content just sniffing around and doing his own thing. He doesn't enjoy the company of the cats (he gives them a little growl to make them "go away"), but otherwise doesn't mind them.

Whiskey has been neutered, tested for heartworm (neg), vaccinated and on flea prevention. His required adoption donation is $250.
