My foster Mom named me Walker after those wonderful shortbread cookies. She says that I am just that sweet and smart too! I am a small 13 pound Westie male, approximately 3-4 years old. I am just neutered, microchipped and have all my shots. I am a very good natured, calm boy who loves to snuggle and does not bark too much. I ride well in the car, walk pretty well on a leash, and I know how to use the doggie door. As a matter of fact, I do like to steal items, like socks, shoes, etc, and take them right out that door into the backyard - it is fun to see my foster Mom picking them up, just for me to take out again!! Our rescues are placed on PetFinder and our website at www.WestieRescueOC.com. All of our rescues are fostered in private homes throughout California where they receive medical care and rehabilitation. Not all of our rescues are posted until they are ready for adoption as all rescues are evaluated by their foster home over a 3 - 4 week period (sometimes longer). When we place a rescue, we try to do everything we can to make this transition their very last.
