My Story

Meet Vivian, a mature little lady, half ? potato ? half Shih-Tzu. ??? Vivian came to us months ago from a shelter as a stray who was visually impaired and having difficulty using her back legs. By the time Vivian left the shelter, she had already contracted a dreadful kennel cold which took weeks to clear up. Once she started to feel better, we really started to see Vivian’s true personality emerge. While her eyesight is limited, she isn’t blind, and gets around without any issue. Vivian still does have some challenges using her back legs so she needs a lift up and down any stairs but will walk outside, in the grass and on rugs best. She will sometimes take the easy way on smooth surfaces by taking turns walking and sliding herself around if she’s tired. Despite the challenges with her legs, Vivi is NOT incontinent, and “does her business” outside. Vivian tends to vocalize when she wants to be held or showered with attention which is often, so if you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who doesn’t need personal space, she’s your girl. She is a true couch potato, happiest laying in your lap while you are working or next to you for hours watching TV (while she snores). She is known to sometimes snore like a hibernating bear and she makes no apologies for that. She will sleep all night (preferably in your bed but will sleep in a dog bed too) and will sleep half the day if you let her. ? Vivian is now spayed, healthy, happy, the absolute sweetest teddy bear ? potato you’ve ever met, and officially looking for her forever family. ???
