Meet Violet, our gentle giant! At 5 years young and weighing in at a solid 100 pounds, Violet's heart is as big as her adorable frame. A true human lover, she also loves making friends with some of our boy pups here at the shelter. Her passions include walks, showing off her soccer skills, and splashing around in the water. Not to mention, she's a dream companion for car rides. If you're looking for a loyal friend to join in on your adventures, Violet is ready to fill that spot in your life. Some Violet fans recently took her on a Borrow a Buddy adventure and here's what they had to say about this sweet girl: Initially she was reluctant to jump into our SUV, but once she was in she stayed in her seat during the drive to the beach. She walked beautifully on leash, no pulling, as we walked on a dirt path towards the shore. We passed one other dog and we simply stepped off the path and let them pass us. Violet remained calm while the dog passed. She attracted a lot of attention from other walkers, people commented on how pretty she is, and how well behaved. She easily jumped into the SUV after this walk, no hesitation. We next stopped at Rhody's Garden Cafe and she was such a good girl. There were other dogs at nearby tables and she saw them, and then ignored them. While we enjoyed our meal, Violet actually settled into a down position and drifted off to sleep, enjoying her doggie dream.
