Vinny

Vinny came to us as a surrender. He was severely abused by his previous owners but that doesn't slow Vinny down one bit! Vinny is the definition of resilient and he lives every day making up for his lost time. After living his life on a chain, he works with staff everyday on his leash manners and basic training - he has mastered sit, shake, wait/stay and is always eager to learn more! Vinny is 1.5 years old and can't wait to move onto his next adventure! Due to his trauma Vinny has a hard time being on his own, away from his humans. Vinny is crate trained and has a special crate (It goes with him when he is adopted!) to contain him for times that he does need to be alone! Over the past few months, Vinny continues to impress the staff by becoming friends with nearly all of his kennel mates - including those who are dog selective! Vinny has not had much experience with cats or children and would require lots of time, patience and desensitization to live with either. If you are interested in adopting Vinny, several visits would be required before taking him home. We also highly recommend a training course to benefit both Vinny and his potential adopter. If you're looking for an active, compact, wiggly buddy - Vinny is definitely your guy!
