My Story

From Vincent's foster home: "Vincent is a great boy! He is housebroken and crate trained. He does not bark without reason. He loves everyone he meets: man, woman or child and I have to say that everyone loves him right back. He loves to play with dogs and is good with dogs of all sizes from yorkies to great danes. He loves dogs so much that he really needs to be in a home where he will continue to have canine play sessions. He LOVES the dog park and is loved in return by the folks and dogs that go there. If you do not have a dog and plan to make him an "only child" make sure he has access to dogs to play with (whether your friend, brother/sister, neighbor etc plans on setting up doggie play dates twice a week or what not). Everyone would love to see him keep going to the dog park even after he is adopted. He currently goes to the dog park on Humane Lane (off of Shop Rd). He is highly food motivated and graduated basic obedience. His instructor would love to see his new family continue with intermediate obedience. He has only met a couple of cats towards which he shows a playful friendliness. If a cat runs from him, he will chase the cat however. I'm not sure what he would do if he ever caught a cat but I prefer not to find out. Being young, Vincent still sometimes considers inappropriate items as toys. He doesn't necessarily destory them but, for example, he may collect all your shoes and pull out the orthopedic inserts. Do a basic puppy proofing of your home, use common sense, and you'll be fine. He enjoys toys of all kinds and will even chase and sometimes bring back tennis balls but not obsessively and he loses interest rapidly." Vincent has been neutered, dewormed, microchipped, is heartworm negative and up to date on shots. Vincent will only be adopted out to be a house dog/indoor only dog. Please note that the Animal Protection League requires a complete police background check on all adults in an adoptive family’s household for this dog.
