My Story

Please note donations using the SPONSOR ME tab will not go to Fluffy Dog Rescue. Also, we do not respond to the "Considering this pet for adoption" link on the right hand side of the listings. This is put on by Petfinder and we operate differently. We want you to go to our website and complete and application. To Locate Our Application go to http://rescue.fluffydog.net/how-to-adopt.html MY AGE: DOB 5/17/18 WEIGHT: 15 lbs MY STORY: I’d love for you to read about my foster Vienna. She is super, super cute and so sweet!! I empathize with her early life as a breeder dog. She didn’t deserve that life but it’s all in her past and we are now focusing on her new beginning as a beloved family dog. Vienna is a no shed or a very low shed dog. That’s always a plus when running a household. Her fur will not be flying here there and everywhere. ? She is a Teddy Bear breed: Poodle/ Shih Tzu/ Bichon mix. She will need grooming but she’s awesome about being groomed and stands still and is compliant. Two thumbs up for easily keeping her fur in tip top shape. Vienna devotes herself to her mom and is very loving. I’m her foster mom and she thinks I’m pretty cool and she wants to hang out with me. She’s sweet and enjoys attention from me and follows me everywhere. Vienna rides well in a car and sits still in a doggie car seat and makes no fussing when riding. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs but does not seem to depend on them therefore she should be happy in a home with or without other dogs. Vienna is a perfect walker on her leash! She trots along and looks up at me for approval. She’s not pulling or dragging. Vienna enjoys snoozing a lot during the day and has her favorite chair and couch. She’s very content to be in a home and appreciates the little things. She would love to share a home with a mom who is at home a lot of the time. Vienna has learned to go up and down stairs both carpeted and plank floor. She’s a pro at stair climbing. At night Vienna sleeps either on my bed or on a stuffed chair near my bed and is a quiet sleeper. Vienna can make some unusual sounds when crated. This isn’t really a negative but it is also not a positive. Besides her normal bark she makes sounds that will turn your head and you might wonder how can she make such unusual vocalizations. They do sound a bit sinister (not a growl), but I know that’s just her and I just laugh at how unique she can sound. Let’s just say she’s one of a kind.!! Vienna is a bit wary of new people and men so she might bark at new faces in the home. She is just nervous. She likes women best and is more vocal when men appear. Once new folks take a seat she stops barking. Also if I sit down next to Vienna she stops barking right away as well. She just needs assurance it’s all safe. Vienna spent years on a breeding farm and never lived in a home setting so is working on house training. She is not a dog who has too many accidents but is still in the learning stage and will need practice. Although Vienna was pretty scared and skittish when she arrived at rescue she’s made amazing progress. While in her foster home she’s shown she loves deeply and allows me to pick her up and she doesn’t run away. Vienna is ready to be someone’s full time “couch potato” best pal. Vienna is not high energy and tends to just hang out. She enjoys a daily walk and time spent snooping around the yard if your yard is fenced. She is adorable and is continuing to bloom and show us her best self! Vienna is growing more confidence daily and we are certainly enjoying her time with us. She will not be a dog for children to play with but will be amazing company for adults, especially a woman. Due to her vocalizations when crated she might not be suited to multi family housing. Vienna is quiet when not in her crate and is waggy tailed and adoring of those she trusts. We like to say she’s perfectly imperfect and we love her just as she is… she’s got so much love to give and it’s her time to shine! Please consider adopting the most adorable Teddy Bear pup named Vienna! See more on her Facebook Page at Foster Dog Love. Fostered in Green Bay. ADOPTION FEE: $550 To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION. Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess. WI License #270548. Check out Fluffy Dog Wellness on our Home Page.
