My Story

Meet Vidalia, a lively one-year-old mix breed hailing all the way from Alabama. This little bundle of joy is looking to bring her zest for life to a new family. Vidalia's love for people is as big as her love for playtime, especially if it involves other dogs. She's always ready for a game of chase or a romp in the yard with her canine pals. Vidalia's favorite pastime? Playing with water! Whether it's splashing around or chasing the hose, she's your go-to girl for water-based fun. She's also crate trained, which makes her a great companion for those moments when you need her to settle down. Vidalia is diligently working on her house training and is making good progress. With a little patience and consistency, she'll be a pro in no time. If you're looking for a spirited and affectionate dog who's ready to be part of your family adventures, Vidalia might just be the one for you! If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
