Meet Vetr! Vetr is Norse for Winter and this boy was given that name due to his piercing blue eyes that are reminiscent of glaciers! His eyes are not the only thing that draws you into him though, Vetr is just a great well-rounded dog. He does well with just about every human but is exceptionally good with children. Vetr is also dog friendly. He is big into playing, although he can be a little pushy about playing at first. He is just eager to have a friend, so a slow introduction is probably best. From what we have seen Vetr isn't overly hyper, but he does have his zoomie moments.
Vetr is heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $ 250.
Vetr is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He will graduate from Paws in Prison on 5/25/2024. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with the trainers.
