Vermont

Vermont, affectionately known around the shelter as "Monty," is so cute he's basically a Disney cartoon. He has permanent "puppy eyes" and a smile that can brighten anyone's day. When he came in, he couldn't use his back legs well but he's getting along better now after getting some love and care, and can do all the doggie things. Has the cutest zooms! He also really loves back and neck scritches because he can't easily reach them himself! He loves affection and to stay near his person - he walks at a leisurely pace right by your side. He coexists or plays nicely with other dogs and even gets along with with cats! He also loves an afternoon of breeze sniffing, working on a nice chew toy, and hanging out with his human(s). He likes kids but he is very playful and can be a bit of a bowling ball, so sturdy kids or older kids are best! He's more of a homebody or country boy than a city boy, for sure. This one-of-a-kind cutie would love a home where he can learn his manners, take things at his Monty pace, and upgrade from a kennel floor to a comfy bed of his own. Can you be his person?
