It has been almost 2 years ago when a group of kids pulled up at the shelter with the saddest momma dog and a pile of puppies. We knew the challenge we faced in getting these severely neglected family healthy and vetted and ready for homes. Time works fast with puppies and they blossomed quickly and soon found their forever home. As we focused on the sad little momma, we discovered she was so under weight and heart worm positive. Poor Vanta has never know love or attention. Since being with us, she gets so excited with all we give her. We are working with her now to get her to understand that her life will always be filled with love and attention. She has been through heart worm treatment and at last her annual vet appointment and we are so excited to say that she is heart worm NEGATIVE! Vanta is fully vetted and it is now her time to blossom and find her forever home. This Auburn haired beauty is a 4 year old Bulldog mix. Coming to our shelter as skin and bones, she is now a healthy 60 lb lady. Vanta is selective about other dogs and too playful for cats. She would be great as a family companion but would recommend older children as she is still working on her gentle manners.
