My Story

Age/Birthdate: 5.11.24 • Expected Weight:30-40lbs • Breed Guess: • Fully Vetted: No • Adopt fee: $500 Location:Crest Hill,IL Any Special Medical or Special Needs: Temperament with: Dogs:Good Cats:Unsure Children list specific ages: All Ages Strangers:Good Training Needs:Everything Puppy Crate Trained: Working on it! Potty Trained:Working on it! Hi there! My name is Vance, and I'm a cute chocolate-colored puppy with adorable white paws. I'll be about medium-sized when I'm all grown up. I'm playful, silly, and super fun, and I love spending time with other dogs and kids. I'm also great with people and enjoy snuggling up after a day of play. I'm ready for my forever home and would love to find a family to share all my love and energy with. If you're looking for a playful and cuddly companion, I'm the perfect choice! Let's make great memories together! She/He is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Unless the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will only consider applications that are within 1 hour or 40 miles of Lemont, IL. This is due to the required vetting at our partner veterinarians. If the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will allow adoptions out of state or outside of our 1 hour or 40 mile restriction. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within five days of approval. ADOPTION FEE: $500 (includes spay/neuter must be done when the rescue schedules it at one of our partner vets, microchip, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease ) and a general wellness which includes dewormer, heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention) Please understand that we will spay/neuter no younger than 16 weeks, but it is at the rescue's discretion when the dog will receive that procedure. We know that some veterinarians recommend waiting, depending on the breed's projected size, but as a rescue, our goal is to prevent further unwanted "accidental" litters. Spaying and neutering also have many benefits for cancer prevention and avoiding behavioral problems. The American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association support pediatric spay and neuter procedures for cats and dogs as early as 8-16 weeks of age. We always assess and consult with our partner vets to determine the best time to perform this procedure. Interested? Submit an adoption application at www.rubywhiskers.org/adopt
