My Story

Meet Van Halen, a sweet one year old, 30 lb mini Lab mix. He is an adorable boy who acts like a happy puppy. Van Halen is intelligent and eager to please, so with a plan, some patience and a pocketful of treats you can probably teach him just about anything. This doggy is described as a 'Teacher's Pet'. I've got the whole package - smart, fuzzy, four legs, love to learn and live to please. Go ahead, teach me anything. Sit, stay, balance your checkbook, I can do it all. Keep me entertained and I'll be yours forever. (Externally motivated). For more information on this animal contact [email protected] or call 319-653-6713. We recommend crate training until you’re confident that your dog is used to his/her new home: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/weekend-crate-training All our dogs have been spayed or neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. They will be treated for fleas, bathed, vaccinated against distemper/parvo, treated against general parasites, and if of age, tested for heart worms and vaccinated against rabies. If underage for these things at the time of adoption, they are to be done at the adopter’s cost when the dog becomes of age. They will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
