Hello, my name is Ty. I am a 6 month old longhaired Dachshund in need of a new home. I am not a mini and will grow up to be about 17lbs. I was purchased from a pet store as a puppy by a woman who wanted a dog for her 9 year old daughter. Unfortunatly, Ty's 9 year old owner didn't know much about housetraining a puppy so there were accidents in the apartment. Well, that didn't go over well and Ty was turned over to a local groomer who in turn called me. Ty is a very sweet boy who loves to play with other dogs and likes children (no really young children please). He will be neutered and vaccinated prior to going into his new home. Ty will need somebody that is willing to work on his housetraining issues. I am using a crate to potty train him and it is going well so far. Adopter must fill out an application, must allow a home visit/check to be done prior to adoption and they must also agree to sign an adoption contract. UPDATE: TY HAS A NEW HOME WITH ANOTHER LONGHAIR DACHSHUND AS A BUDDY AND HIS NEW "PARENTS" ARE RETIRED SO HE'LL GET LOTS OF ATTENTION
