Twyla

Twyla is a 3 month old Doxie/Mix puppy. She is almost solid black except for a little white on her neck and chest and some on her feet. Her coat is very short and shiny black. It is also very soft and smooth. She never met a stranger. Even though she is very little, she doesn't seem to be afraid of very much. She is sweet and cuddly and would love to sit on your lap and watch TV with you. She loves to play. Sometimes she takes a puppy spin in and out of the legs of all the chairs around the dining room table. Since she is so little and runs so fast none of the other dogs playing with her can catch her. When meeting new dogs, as long as they aren't REAL big, she isn't afraid at all. Even with the big ones, she just flops over on her back to show them that its OK with her if they are the boss and she would like to be their friend. She doesn't pay much attention to cats, so she would get along fine with them. Most cats are bigger than her. She is very inquisitive and loves to play with anything you would like to give her. She will play with rubber toys, stuffed animals, and some things she thinks up on her own. Since she is so young, her system is not developed enough for her to be house trained. But if you give her a soft cuddly bed, she will sleep in it all night and very rarely needs to get up and go potty. She would give anyone who adopts her hours of fun and laughter as you watch her romping and playing.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
