Twigs was rescued by animal control from an owner who was basically starving her to death. When we got her, you could see every rib and hip bone and spine sticking out, could even see the femur bones in her hind legs. We nick named her "Twiggy" and it stuck! She looked like a concentration camp victim. But now she has steadily gained weight and strength and is a healthy 42 lbs. ~~ Despite the way she has been treated, she absolutely loves everyone! Twigs is amazing! She has a heart of gold. Constantly wagging her tail, she leans her head gently up against her foster mom's leg to be petted, just resting it there and sighing in her contentment. Follows her foster mom everywhere around the house. Was fascinated by the TV! Hee-hee! *** Twigs is about 21 inches tall, about 2 yrs old, mostly white w/ brindle markings and very short hair. She is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs we have ever met and will make a lovely family companion. She did test positive for heartworms but this has been treated and she is fine. Pics available. ** As for all our adoptions, we require a securely fenced yard for her safety.
